The Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) 2025 is a grant opportunity offered by the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa for alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs. Only alumni (non-U.S. citizens) of official U.S. exchange programs based in Honduras are eligible to apply as project leads, though U.S. citizen alumni may participate as team members. Proposals can involve partnerships with nonprofits, NGOs, think tanks, and academic institutions but must be submitted by individual alumni or alumni associations, not other organizations.

Since its launch in 2011, AEIF has funded hundreds of alumni-led initiatives to promote long-term impact, strengthen U.S.-alumni ties, and contribute to shared policy and development goals.
